What is a Bullet Journal and How Do You Use It?
Most people are familiar with the concept of a planner these days. There are tons of them at any office supply store and many are exclusive for students and momagers trying to organize their families ongoing and growing activities.
These planners are great for people who like the standard out of the box type of organization. However, for people like myself, that have a more challenging time laying out their daily to-do’s, a bullet journal provides the best method for custom organization.
A bullet journal can actually help you live a more productive and meaningful life with less stress and more clarity. Whoa… big statement right?
Like how can an organizer do that?
Well, most people thrive when they have a plan in place and proper way to organize and sort through that plan in an efficient way. Creating your own bullet journal allows you to customize your thoughts and needs in a way pleasing to you that will help you become more productive.
Staying organized gives people the ability and pathway to live more simplified thus leading to a happy, less stress free life. Focusing only on whats truly important gives us the ability to succeed more than we ever could have imagined.
Bullet journals enables this success by giving the creator a method to organize their day/week/month any way they choose.
Why Use Bullet Journal Stickers
Some people are digital organizers, while others prefer the pen to paper method of organizing. I myself love my bullet journal. Mainly because I enjoy being creative and organizing my planner the exact way that fits my needs.
I use a standard 5 x 8 Dotted Grid Planner and that seems to work best for me as its small enough to stuff in my purse and works best with the custom stickers. My sister uses a larger one, but she also organizes it for the whole family to use.
You can completely customize your bullet journal freehand, meaning you can draw the lines or add the dates, create doodles on the pages, etc. Some people prefer to use stickers to organize their journals instead. I use a bit of both methods, but being able to use a custom sticker header or reminder sticker is a great way to make something stand out more on the page.
There are all sorts of journal stickers you can use to organize your day or week so that it is aesthetically pleasing to you. This makes the organization fast and is also a ton of fun!
How Do you Use Printable Bullet Journal Stickers
You can buy planner stickers a number of places online. These usually have pre-cut stickers and are sold in sheets. But you can find free printable pdf bullet planner stickers online and print them out yourself. For the cost of the print paper, you will save quite a bit printing your own and you can customize the look and feel easier.
If you’re new to printing printables, I highly recommend Avery full-sheet labels because they’re high-quality and the stickers come out looking professional.
All you have to do is download the printable PDF bullet journal stickers and print, then cut them out. If you wish to resize the image for smaller stickers that fit a smaller planner planner, then adjust the printable image to 6″ wide x 8.5″ tall. Easy peasy!
I have a paper cutter that I use to keep the lines nice and straight, but a pair of scissors will work nearly as well. Once you have printed and cut out your stickers, you are ready to decorate your journal.
