How to Print Your Halloween Tags
Printing your Halloween tags is easy and quick! With just a few simple steps, you’ll have a set of festive tags ready to attach to all your Halloween treats and goodies. Here’s how to get the best results:
- Download the Template
Once you have the Halloween tag template, download the file to your computer. Be sure to save it somewhere easy to find, like your desktop or a designated “Halloween” folder, so you can locate it easily when you’re ready to print. - Use Heavy Cardstock for Durability
For tags that last, print on heavy cardstock (THIS is my favorite brand of cardstock). This type of paper is sturdy and gives your tags a professional look and feel, making them durable enough to attach to trick-or-treat bags, gift bags, and more. Aim for cardstock that’s at least 65 lb. weight or heavier for best results. - Adjust Print Settings
Open the template file and select “Print.” Before hitting “Print,” go to your printer settings and choose the highest print quality available. Set the page to print at “Actual Size” or 100% scale, so the tags print at the intended size. Do a test run before printing on the cardstock. - Cut Out Each Tag
After printing, let the ink dry fully to avoid any smudging. Then, use scissors or a craft knife to carefully cut along the tag outlines. For a precise cut, consider using a paper cutter or cutting board if you have one handy. - Punch a Hole (Optional)
If you plan to attach the tags with ribbon or string, use a hole punch to create a small hole near the top of each tag. This will make it easy to attach the tag to bags, boxes, or gift wraps without any fuss. - Attach and Enjoy!
Now your tags are ready to go! Simply tie them to treat bags, tape them to candy bars, or use them however you’d like to add a little extra Halloween flair.
Now you are ready to bring some spooky cheer to all your Halloween treats!
