The Best Warm Artichoke Dip Recipe You Will Ever Try

This post may contain affiliate links. See affiliate disclosure here.

So, I am a huge fan of easy and delicious dishes! I love the meal in a box plans, and have more 3 ingredient recipes than most people I know! This Hot Artichoke Dip recipe is my ultimate favorite and while its not just 3 ingredients, it is still super simple to make and so delicious. You will love it, trust me!

This is truly my go-to appetizer any time I have to bring a dish to an event! Everyone loves it so it goes well for Holiday events, Birthday parties, and works great as a Superbowl food to share. I will even make it if I am craving some yummy comfort apps because its as good as the ones you get in the restaurants and way better for you.

This dish is an amazing blend of melted cheese, marinated artichoke hearts and creamy goodness that can be dipped, spread, or even eaten with a spoon (yes, its that good!! Don’t judge).

One of the best things about this Hot Artichoke Dip is that you can make it in advance the night before it is needed even and bake it just before serving so its nice and hot.

How to Make Artichoke Dip

Start with the base, which is made up of mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder and cream cheese. I like to use full fat versions as the light sour cream or light cream doesn’t seem to melt and blend quite as well- light sour cream makes the mixture a bit runnier as well- not bad, but not as perfect.

What makes this artichoke dip so amazing are the marinated artichokes. Sometimes the best ones are a bit on the pricey side so I try and stock up when I see them on sale. Try not to use the canned artichokes as they come out drier and less flavorful, but of course sometimes you have to use what you got.

I like to use shredded Parmesan cheese instead of the grated Parmesan cheese which doesn’t melt the same and can that make the dip more grainy. Shredded cheese makes the texture and flavor more unique and ooey gooey (not a word I know, but it explains the way it comes out of the pan).

After you have collected your ingredients, mix then all together and place into a square casserole dish. If you have a medium sized iron skillet, that would work as well and goes great from oven to serving.

I like serving this warm Artichoke Dip with wheat thins, tortilla chips or bread. If you are on a keto diet or low carb diet, you can use veggie sticks or bacon slices even.

Artichoke Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup full fat sour cream
  • 2 cups chopped/quarters marinated artichoke hearts (drained from liquid)
  • 1 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. Mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder and sour cream until well combined.
  3. Mix in the artichoke in and then fold in the parmesean cheese to keep it from crumbling too much.
  4. Spoon the mixture baking dish or refrigerate until ready to bake.
  5. Bake at 375F for 15-20 minutes, until slightly browned and hot/bubbly.
  6. *Sometimes I turn the heat up a bit higher for the last 2-3 min to get a nice brown crispy top.
    Serve immediately crackers or bread
