Start Your Search for Employment
Once you have figured out the type of work you are interesting in, it’s time to start the search for a great work from home full time position! There are tons of full time work from home job fields including sales, customer service, marketing, writing, designing, virtual assistant work, tutoring or online teaching. Some of these jobs may require previous job history in the position or advanced degrees- its never too late to go back to school either and get the necessary skills needed!
When you apply for a remote or telecommute full-time job, you will likely need to submit a resume and cover letter as well. If you don’t have a LinkedIn account, I suggest you make one, it is very easy to extract a nice resume from there. If not, Microsoft word has several very nice templates you can use to create a resume and simple cover letter. Your cover letter should be formal and a short description of your skills and interest in the position. Make sure all your work history is up-to-date, your computer skills are listed, and it wouldn’t hurt to have some recommendations.
There are lots of places to look for remote jobs, but sometimes too many. You must be careful because there are quite a few scams out there so you need to do your due diligence and read the reviews and even check with the BBB to verify. If you’re going to use job boards, make sure you’re using credible ones like Virtual Vocation, Indeed, Career Builder, or FlexJobs. Apple At Home–
Apple has a work at home call center program that hires full-time or part-time employees. You must be within 100 miles of specific locations. College students are encouraged to apply.
