Fun Ways to Serve Pepperoni Peepers
- Eyeball Platter with “Blood” Sauce
Arrange the Pepperoni Peepers on a round platter with a bowl of marinara in the center for dipping. Call it “blood sauce” for extra spookiness and add small Halloween decorations like mini plastic spiders or skeleton hands around the plate. - Create a “Monster Face” Plate
Place the Pepperoni Peepers in a circular shape to create a monster’s “eyes” and add other small appetizers or veggie sticks as the “mouth” and “teeth.” This gives the dish a playful, monstrous appearance and makes it extra fun for kids to dig in. - Serve on a Bed of “Intestines”
For a creepy Halloween twist, place the Pepperoni Peepers on a plate covered with spaghetti or pasta mixed with marinara sauce. The pasta acts as “intestines” with the eyeballs on top for an extra gross-out factor that kids will love. - Skewered Eyeballs for a Spooky Snack
Place each Pepperoni Peeper on a small skewer or toothpick, creating a tray of “eyeballs on a stick.” Arrange them in a way that resembles a bundle of monster eyeballs for guests to grab. - Add to a “Creepy Charcuterie Board”
Include the Pepperoni Peepers on a Halloween-themed charcuterie board with Halloween-colored cheeses, grapes, crackers, and olives. It’s an easy, festive addition to any Halloween snack table.
Tips To Making Your Pepperoni Peepers!

- Use Cold Dough for Easier Shaping
If your pizza dough is warm, it may be trickier to shape into balls. Keep the dough cool before you start forming the peepers, as it’ll help with handling and prevent sticking. - Press the Dough Firmly
When sealing the dough around the string cheese, make sure to press it firmly. This will help avoid any cheese leaking out during baking and keep the “eyeball” shape intact. - Customize the Cheese
For extra flavor, try using mozzarella cubes or even pepper jack cheese instead of string cheese. It gives each bite an oozy, melty center that adds even more “wow” factor! - Check for Doneness
Bake until the Pepperoni Peepers are a deep golden brown on top, and ensure the bottoms are firm and slightly crispy. This will ensure the cheese inside is fully melted and gooey. - Let Them Cool Slightly Before Serving
Fresh from the oven, the cheese will be molten! Let the peepers cool for a couple of minutes so kids can enjoy them without the risk of burning their mouths.
Trust me- these Pepperoni Peepers are sure to be a crowd-pleaser, with just the right balance of creepy and tasty!
Get Creative with Halloween Peeper Eyeballs
For an extra dose of Halloween fun, try swapping out the traditional black olive “pupil” for other creative options!
Tiny pieces of bell pepper, mushroom caps, or halved green olives can give your Pepperoni Peepers an even spookier look. You can even cut tiny nicks into the dough before baking to make the “eyeballs” look a little bloodshot.
This allows each “eye” to have its own personality, making your Halloween appetizer not only tasty but also endlessly entertaining for kids and guests alike!

Perfect for a Halloween get-together or an eerie family dinner, they’re bound to get big reactions and become a spooky tradition everyone will look forward to.
